I love talking to audience members after the show, especially on “Talk Back” nights when the house lights are up and any question is on the table. That’s why every show I do, I have an ongoing talkback here on my site.

Whether you’re curious about the rehearsal process, the shenanigans of five guys backstage or the show in general, I’d be happy to answer your queries.

Use the comment box below to ask, and I’ll answer as soon as possible.

  1. I have a question – how do you sing that A-sharp in “I Believe” every night? Does the emotion of the moment help or hurt? Do you curse the composer’s name every time, or only now and then?

  2. Jeremy says:

Good question, Juan… I mean Mr. Walker!!

The emotion helps me a tonne. I always get a good adrenaline push as the boyz sing “Take a picture of us all, who we are and where we’re from…”

Then it’s a heap of trust, a bit of vowel modification and a tank full of air.

    “I believe!!”

That being said… I think I’ve had to curse your name once or twice ;) Still, I’m incredibly grateful to you for your incredible tunes and this beautiful show.

Michael Patrick Walker is the composer of “Altar Boyz”.

So I just watched you at today’s matinee show and you were great! I actually got a picture with you afterwards. (haha I was the slightly over-enthusiastic girl in yellow with the horrible friends who wanted to ruin our pictur)
Anyway, keep being fabulous and I’m totally going to watch the show again! I loved it! It was two things I love put together musicals and boy bandz.

  4. Jeremy says:

Thanks, Clarissa! Was so cool to meet you and your friends after the show.
I’d love it if you posted the pics on my facebook page! http://www.facebook.com/actor.jeremy

Was a pleasure to help ease the burden on your soul!!

  5. Catherine says:

    Hi Jeremy,

I was at the performance last night of Altar Boyz (and was the person brought up on stage for one of your songs). It was a great show and our whole group really enjoyed it. I also thought that you gave a very charming and charismatic performance. Thanks for a wonderful night of entertainment!

    Cheers,
    Catherine

  6. Jeremy says:

    Thank you, Catherine!

Perhaps I can ask you a question… What is it like being pulled up on stage with the Altar Boyz?

  7. Catherine says:

I suppose it depends on what kind of person you are. If you are not a natural performer (like me), you first worry that you are going to look like a maniac on stage! But, you did a great job making it quite clear what the audience member is supposed to be doing, so then it is really quite fun – an interesting chance for someone who is used to being in the audience to see what it is like looking out at the audience. And, who doesn’t like to be serenaded?

  8. Kirstin says:

Hey, I saw you guys in 2009, tonight, and am planning on coming back next week! I’m in love with the show, is there anyway I can meet any of the actors and get some autographs after the performance? Also, I would love to go up on stage and be sung to. :)

  9. Robyn says:

Hi, Jeremy. I was the third last girl-who-makes-you-want-to-wait, Robyn from 30 August. That was such fun – thank you for including me in the show. Like Catherine above, I found it interesting to be on stage. I was very surprised to see that you guys can’t see the audience at all from up there – the lights are blinding! Keep up the excellent work – you are an incredible performer, and the show is delightful and fun.

  10. Jeremy says:

Kirstin, were you able to meet any of the guys?!

  11. Jeremy says:

Yeah, those lights can be kinda bright! Our eyes adjust to them pretty quickly, but even with that it can be hard to see past the first few rows.

Thanks for the kind words… I loved doing Altar Boyz and am grateful for everyone who’s come to support the show over our nearly 200 performances!
